Crucible Furnace Selection: Stationary, Square or Tilting

Direct answer: crucible furnace selection depends on the alloy, batch weight, melt and holding duty, crucible geometry, energy source, pouring method, alloy-change frequency and required production rate. Stationary furnaces support straightforward batch melting or holding, square electric systems maximize usable chamber geometry, and tilting furnaces provide controlled discharge.

For copper, brass and bronze, furnace construction, refractory, burner arrangement, temperature capability and crucible compatibility must match the heavier alloy and operating practice. Aluminum applications place additional emphasis on oxidation, dross, temperature control and cycle time.
