GM-K SERIES

Our GM-K Series gas ramp melting furnace, also known as a combi melting furnace, or a multi-chamber furnace, or sometimes called a dual-chamber furnace, is extremely flexible. The furnace has two distinct functions. On the ramp side, you can pre-heat and melt sows, T-bars, or ingots, and on the shaft melter side, you can melt returns, ingots, even scrap, or a combination of any of these. This furnace offers excellent efficiency, uniform melting, and operator safety. With a large melting and holding capacity, this furnace is the ultimate choice for large volume, central melting. This series has an automatic elevator for simplified charging. And like all our furnaces, the GM-K Series is controlled by a PLC and a color HMI touch screen which runs a sophisticated program that optimizes performance, operation, and efficiency.

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

GM‑K Series Ramp‑Shaft Melting Furnace Ideal for High‑Volume Aluminum Melting

The GM‑K Series ramp‑shaft melting furnace is engineered for high‑volume aluminum melting with exceptional fuel efficiency, fast melt rates, and stable temperature control. Its unique ramp‑shaft design preheats the charge using exhaust gases, significantly reducing energy consumption while improving overall thermal performance. The furnace’s large melting chamber and optimized burner system ensure rapid heat transfer and consistent melt quality, even under demanding production conditions. With its durable refractory lining, automated controls, and robust construction, the GM‑K Series delivers reliable, continuous operation for foundries and die‑casting plants that require high throughput and low operating costs. This furnace is ideal for facilities seeking maximum efficiency, reduced emissions, and superior molten metal quality.

Choose a Ramp‑Shaft Melting Furnace Over a Conventional Melting System

Ramp‑shaft melting furnaces offer major advantages in efficiency, melt quality, and operational cost compared to traditional reverberatory or crucible furnaces. The GM‑K Series uses a sloped ramp and vertical shaft to preheat aluminum feedstock, capturing waste heat that would otherwise be lost. This dramatically reduces fuel consumption and shortens melting cycles. Because the furnace operates with minimal door openings, heat loss and oxidation are significantly reduced, resulting in cleaner metal and lower dross formation. The system’s continuous melting capability and stable temperature control make it ideal for high‑volume casting operations that demand consistent molten aluminum supply with minimal downtime.

Key Features and Benefits of the GM‑K Series Aluminum Ramp‑Shaft Melting Furnace
